I remember watching a documentary on the development of Jedi: Fallen Order and seeing a part where they are focusing on a stable build. They apparently had 1,000+ bugs they needed squashed to accomplish this. As a gamer, this seems like an unrealistic amount.
Is it? How is it possible they were able to not only introduce, but also find that many bugs? Even for a studio that's a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, I can't imagine the Quality Assurance team finding even over 100.

How do they find that many bugs? Consider - in AAA games, we bring on entire teams of QA to test every day during production. Imagine 50 testers each find only five bugs a day from a full eight hours of testing. That's logging a combined 250 bugs daily. In a week, you've got 1,250 bugs. After a month, that's 5,000 bugs. A year would be 60,000 bugs. Most testers can find more than five in a day, especially early in development.
To give you an idea of what things are like in the trenches, take my example. Two days ago, I personally fixed bug number 522,096 on my current project. I'm currently working on bug number 474,991. These are not randomly generated numbers. When I joined the team (roughly two years ago) I started working on bugs and tasks numbered in the mid 30,000s. QA finds and logs a lot of bugs.

BUG WITH TEXT BOX'S AND SAVE FILES
Okay, so this is something I noticed while manually testing things just now, but I figured I'd put it out here just in case people run into it so that I can reference it in any future bug reports.
If you load a save file from a previous point in the game while doing the text box investigations, dashingdon will still act as if you've investigated those things in the house - presumably no matter how far back you've reloaded to. Unfortunately, I cannot fix this bug as this is more to do with dashingdon's save function than it is my game since ChoiceScript games are not meant to have a save function in the first place and so loading a "saved game" most likely doesn't reset the variables that have been turned on from the future scene you reloaded from.
So what does this mean? Well, it just means when you get back up to that point in the game again, it will take you to the dialogue that says you've already investigated the item. That's... pretty much it. If you wish to start the investigation anew, you unfortunately have to make a new save, I believe. I am very sorry for this, and I would fix it if I could. I'll brainstorm and try to come up with something!

I think you have to enable scrollbars in the edit game page. Cant currently scroll down to read the story
It's cooked into the template I'm using for the game. It's hard coded in, and I'm still super new to coding. I looked through to find a solution to fix this, but the answer I found did not translate at all. I ended up not finding any clear coding I could remove or change.
So my solution here is going to be changing my template.
This will take me a bit of time to fix, as when I tested this before release, it worked without any issue. So I have no clue what changed there.
I'll start working on this now, my apologies.

Game Update: 7/20/2024
Game files have been fixed and updated, bug in Matt's route should be fixed.
Going to add snippet of how to report bugs into FAQ, possibly make a Google Form for it, and then go back to sleep as it is 8:30 AM for me and I don't have to start on work until like 11:30 or so

YES CALL ME MASTER OF TUMBLR!!!
So an information for all of you: If you ever have a problem with a pic. Like you post it but it won´t appear on your dashboard but you can see it on your blog, then the solution is (like they explain it in their help centre) to change the format. HOWEVER it´s not like you open it and then after saving it again it will work. In my case I had to switch from PNG to JEPG and until I saw it on my dashboard. Yes sometimes you have to switch a few times.
Was it a bug? Well I don´t know why I couldn´t upload the original pic because I took these screenshots on my pc while watching the episode in the VLC player. I uploaded pics before from this episode so it really is a mysterious why these two pics made such a big problem for me.

Issues When Building
When trying to build my game, so that I could publish it to itch.io, I was getting an unknown error. Jake helped me in trying to figure out why.
We tried putting it on the :D drive incase that was the issue, which didn't work.
We tried removing the leaderboard plugin because there was stuff in the output log to do with it, which didn't work.
We tried a different computer, which didn't work.
We tried moving all the stuff over to new levels, which also didn't work.
Chris came over and saw the output spitting out an error to do with the icon. So I reconverted my .png into a .ico and uploaded it, which worked.

something i havent seen anyone say about the old miraculous animation is that you dont realize how they MOVE like they look like dolls, puppets moving, the way their limbs bend and move and it looks incredibly weird



while in the new animation, they actually look like, idk, PEOPLE???

Update: 07/20/2024
I went to bed, and some lovely person who downloaded the game (thank you!) found a small issue with Matt’s route.
I plan on fixing it up quickly before I go into work today and updating the files on the game’s page.
